D.O. issued for lifting of more than 106 lakh metric tons
Purchase of more than 107.53 lakh metric tons of paddy from farmers in this Kharif season
Raipur/ Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and due to the expert management of the State Government, more than 104 lakh metric tons of paddy has been lifted so far, whereas D.O. has been released for lifting more than 106 lakh metric tons of paddy. 107.53 metric tons of paddy has been successfully purchased from farmers this year at support price.
It is noteworthy that at the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, paddy lifting has started this year directly from procurement centers for paddy purchase and custom-milling, because of which the transportation cost incurred by the State Government has decreased. Moreover, there has been a respite from the lengthy process of paddy purchase. This year, the State Government has purchased 107.53 lakh metric tons of paddy from more than 23 lakh 42 thousand farmers till 31 January 2023. The farmers have been paid an amount of Rs. 22 thousand 67 crores for the purchased paddy.
